Kingsgate Consolidated said it has hit a significant milestone for the Chatree Gold Mine in central Thailand: 1,000 doré bars poured since operations restarted in March.
“We are delighted to acknowledge this production milestone, and are pleased with Chatree’s gold and silver production to date, as we continue to ramp up both mining and processing operations,” said Managing Director and CEO Jamie Gibson.
The one thousandth bar was poured last month, and will be refined by Kingsgate’s refining partner, Precious Metal Refining Company.
Chatree’s operations have historically been a large-scale, low-grade, open-pit gold mine. The mine was on care and maintenance since January 2017 prior to its restart earlier this year.
